SMS Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern the text-message (SMS) program operated by Wichman Orthopedics and Wellness, the trade name of Wisconsin Center for Orthopedics and Wellness, S.C. By opting in, you agree to these terms.

Program description

Our SMS program sends notifications about when scheduling opens, appointment reminders, confirmations, scheduling messages, and post-visit follow-up to patients who have provided their mobile number and consented. These are transactional, care-related messages, not marketing.

How to opt in

You opt in by telling us so on the phone. Consent is not a condition of receiving care or scheduling an appointment, and we never add a number without a clear yes.

When you call Wichman Orthopedics and Wellness at (414) 338-7300, our automated AI phone assistant answers. If you ask to be told when scheduling opens, it asks whether you would like updates by text, reading this script word for word:

“Perfect. Just to confirm: is it okay if Wichman Orthopedics and Wellness sends you text messages at this number? Those would be a notice when scheduling opens, appointment reminders and confirmations, and follow-up after a visit. That’s up to about six messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP anytime to opt out, or HELP for help. Our text message terms are at wichmanortho.com/sms-terms, and our privacy policy is at wichmanortho.com/privacy. Do I have your okay to text you, yes or no?”

Only a clear “yes” is recorded as consent. The assistant then confirms: “Great, you’re opted in. You’ll get a confirmation text before we start sending updates, and you can reply STOP anytime.” If you say no, nothing changes about your care and you will not receive texts. Calls are recorded.

Message frequency

Frequency varies based on your appointments and care, up to about 6 messages per month.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the messages, but your mobile carrier may.

Opting out

Cancel anytime by replying STOP. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages unless you opt in again.

Delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your mobile carrier and is outside our control.

Privacy

Your information is handled per our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
